Work-from-Home Advisory for IT Companies
To ensure the safety of employees, IT companies are requested to allow their employees to work from home on November 30.
Temporary Suspension of Public Transport
As the cyclone is expected to make landfall in the afternoon, public transport services on key roads such as East Coast Road (ECR) and Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) will be temporarily suspended for safety reasons, as per a press release by Tamil Nadu Govt.

Schools and Colleges to Remain Closed
In response to the severe weather conditions expected, all schools and colleges in Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, and Chengalpattu districts will remain closed. Additionally, it has been instructed that no special classes or examinations should be conducted on this day. District collectors from other areas with heavy rainfall warnings will assess the situation and decide whether schools and colleges in their jurisdictions should remain closed.

Public Safety Advisory
Given the likelihood of heavy rain and strong winds during the cyclone’s landfall, the Tamil Nadu State Disaster Management Authority has issued a public safety advisory. People are strongly advised to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary and avoid going to beaches, amusement parks, or engaging in outdoor recreational activities. The government is calling for full cooperation from the public to ensure the effectiveness of disaster prevention measures and reduce risks to life and property.
Cyclone Fengal is expected to make landfall on the coast of Tamil Nadu tomorrow evening and a red alert has been issued for various parts of the southern states in view of incessant rainfall, the India Meteorological Department said on Friday. As of today's evening, the cyclone was 300-350 km away from the coastline of Tamil Nadu, as per IMD Head of Cyclonic Division, Ananda Das.
