K-pop without BTS? It's simply unimaginable! However, as it turns out, the septet had other career paths in mind before they became members of BTS. So, what would have RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook done is they weren't K-pop idols?
RM – Born Singer almost became Businessman
One simply can’t imagine Namjoon not being on stage! The man was born to make music. However, before dreams of becoming a musician took over his being, the BTS leader wanted to be a businessman or work a 9 to 5 job. During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, RM had shared, “Study hard and go into a…you know, get a nice job. That was my dream.” His family also wanted him to have a stable job, maybe in business, because of his high IQ.

Jin – Fame or Farm?
Jin had not one, but two back-up plans. The Moon singer wanted be either an actor or a farmer. Yes, you read that right! So, if BTS hadn’t happened, Jin would have either been growing melons or strawberries with his uncle, who inspired him to become a farmer, or would have been among the most handsome faces to star in K-dramas alongside Kim Soo-hyun, Byeon Woo-seok, Lee Jong-suk and more.

Suga – Architect before Agust D
Before Suga realised his knack for music, the rapper had once revealed to Radio Disney that his dream was to be an architect. However, after discovering his love for music, he aimed to become a producer-songwriter. While he would have still been a big name in the music industry, considering he has penned and produced most of BTS’ biggest hits, we’re glad we got to meet Min Yoongi as a member of BTS.

J-hope: The OG Ryu Sun-jae
J-hope always loved to dance. He had been busting out dance moves at the Joy Dance Academy since the age of 10. However, before dedicating himself to the art of dance, Hobi had aspirations of being a tennis player. In an old interview, the BTS member had revealed that he had completed in tennis tournament and won bronze. However, it was out of three teams (an inside joke that will never gets old).

Jimin – Officer Park
Jimin is often dubbed the ‘Idol of Idols.’ Every K-pop idol aspires to be him on stage. However, this same man almost didn’t become an idol. As a young boy, Jimin wanted to be a policeman. It isn’t surprising considering the BTS star was a diligent lad who used to perform exceptionally well in school. However, after going to school for contemporary dance his dreams changed, and Jimin put all his efforts into becoming a performer. Apart from that, Jimin had also joked about wanting to be a talk show host once.

Jungkook – Potential Olympian
Can you imagine Jungkook not being BTS’ Golden Maknae? Neither can we! However, we almost lost him to pro-gaming. During his childhood years, the Seven singer wanted to become a gamer because of his interest in Kart Rider. Jungkook had also once revealed that he would have become an athlete if he hadn’t joined BTS. Knowing his sporty and competitive self, JK would have killed it on the field just like he’s doing on the charts right now.
