yuvraj singh picks 'outstanding captain' between ms dhoni, rohit sharma, virat kohli: 'he can change the game..'

Yuvraj Singh was one of the greatest ever all-rounders to play for the Indian team and he was a big-name player who stepped up on the big occasions. Yuvi played a key role in India's victory in the T20 World Cup in 2007 under MS Dhoni's captaincy, and the same can be said for the ODI World Cup in 2011.

While Yuvraj briefly played under Virat Kohli's captaincy, he holds high regard for Rohit Sharma as well, who helped India win the T20 World Cup 2024. Thus, when Yuvraj joined the latest episode of the Club Prairie Fire, he was asked to choose one between Dhoni, Rohit, and Virat.

Interestingly, England great Michael Vaughan went for Dhoni when being asked in the start, bench, and drop segment as he picked 'Thala' over the other two modern-day greats. Adam Gilchrist was also part of the session and he too agreed with Vaughan.

When the spotlight fell on Yuvraj, he chose to start Rohit Sharma saying that the Hitman is an 'outstanding captain' and he is capable of changing a T20 game with his batting.

"Probably I'd go for Rohit Sharma if it's T20 cricket. As a player, I'd go for Rohit, because he's an outstanding captain and can change the game with his batting, for sure, Rohit Sharma would be the first choice," said the legendary all-rounder.

Yuvraj Singh made a tongue-in-cheek remark when asked to bench one of the two remaining legends, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, he said that if he picked one name it could create headlines all over the world. Therefore, the veteran said that he would like to bench himself while dropping a hint everyone in the Club Prairie Fire was intelligent enough to know which player should be benched.

Yuvraj also backed the Indian team to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024 by a 3-1 margin, whereas both Vaughan and Gilchrist backed Australia to win the coveted trophy.
