Bengaluru: Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru is experiencing heavy rainfall for the past two days, causing waterlogging and traffic jams. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the IT Hub of India is anticipated to experience week-long downpour. The met department has issued orange alert for the city on Tuesday. The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 25 degrees Celsius and minimum will hover around 21 degrees Celsius.
Why Is It Raining In Bengaluru?
The Northeast Monsoon rainfall activity is likely to commence over southeastern India around the 15 to 16 October. A low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to bring heavy rainfall to several regions. From 14 to 17 October, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and South Interior Karnataka will experience very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema are also expected to see heavy rain from 14 to 16 October.

Rainfall Alert In Karnataka
According to a report by Economic Times, heavy rainfall alert has been issued for various regions of Karnataka. Heavy rain is anticipated over the districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi in Coastal Karnataka on October 15. Parts of South Interior Karnataka- Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Mandya, and Mysuru are likely to receive heavy rainfall.
The publication further mentioned that heavy showers will spread further across Karnataka on October 16 and 17.
