Streamer Zack 'Asmongold' Hoyt's Twitch account, 'Zackrawrr,' was banned after making controversial remarks about Palestinians killed in Gaza. During a Monday stream, Hoyt referred to Palestinians as "terrible people" who "come from an inferior culture that is horrible." His comments sparked backlash, including criticism from fellow streamer Hasan "Hasanabi" Piker, an advocate for Palestinian rights. Piker invited Hoyt to join his channel to discuss the remarks.
“Looking back on it, I was way too much of an asshole about the Palestine thing. My bad Of course no one deserves to have their life destroyed even if they do things or have views I find regressive. You guys deserve more than me saying stupid shit like that, I’ll do better," he wrote on X.

Following this, Hoyt's 'Zackrawrr' Twitch account was temporarily banned, though his main account, 'Asmongold,' remains active.
The ban drew reactions from other streamers.
Streamer Kaceytron, referring to Asmongold as Adolfmold, wrote, "Adolfmold's alt account "zackrawrr" was banned. His main account is still not banned. Hopefully this extremely light penalization will make him stop repeating white supremacist talking points. We will see."
Twitch creator Austin 'Gremloe' wrote, "Looks like Asmongolds main channel "Zackrawrr" has been temporarily banned. Good to see some consequences for terrible behavior on Twitch."
