John Cena made a huge announcement at Money in the Bank 2024 and revealed that he would retire in 2025. The WWE legend will take part in number of matches next year before calling it quits. Cena confirmed that he will compete at Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania 41. In 2025, it will be the last time when Cena will perform at Wrestlemania.
The WWE superstars would be eager to face Cena during his farewell tour. CM Punk has shared his take on it and said: "You could say Randy [Orton]. I think some people would say me. Knowing John, I’m assuming it’s going to be somebody new, someone he can hand the baton to. So it might be GUNTHER, it might be somebody that he has his eye on that nobody else is really seeing. You don’t know and that’s what’s exciting about it."
Punk and Cena had a memorable rivalry. The storyline with Cena elevated Punk to another level and he defeated the 16-time World Champion to become WWE Champion.
As for Randy, Cena had a long rivalry with him. Both superstars made their debuts 2002 and have had a successful careers so far. Randy is a 14-time world champion and is still going strong in WWE.
