GOP House Representative from Florida, Matt Gaetz, a prominent member of a Florida real estate family, has been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to be the incoming Attorney General. Gaetz has been married to Ginger Luckey Gaetz since 2021.
Ginger Luckey, a Philippian-American, and Matt Gaetz have a chaotic love story. They dated for about a year and reportedly eloped to get married on August 21, 2021. They had met at a fundraiser organized by Donald Trump in 2020 at Mar-a-Lago, his Palm Beach, Florida residence. As per reports, Gaetz had proposed Ginger Luckey in the same place at the time they decided to get married.

She said that despite not wanting to attend the Trump fundraiser, she was "dragged" there by her mother. After meeting Gaetz, she was invited to a birthday party of Kimberly Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr. “It didn’t come as a surprise," she said, regarding her relationship with Matt Gaetz. "I had sort of seen it coming.”
