A year after FRIENDS icon Matthew Perry passed away, his Los Angeles home has been sold. It has been bought by a woman of Indian origin, who according to reports, also performed the puja.
According to media reports, entrepreneur Anita Verma-Lallian is the new owner of the property which she acquired for $8.5 million (Rs 71.71 crore) in an off-market deal. She now plans to redesign the house while keeping the legacy and honour of the late star alive.

Anita Verma-Lallian buys Matthew Perry home
Anita took to her Instagram and posted about her new property, along with clicks from the traditional Hindu puja rituals. An excerpt from her caption read, "The moment I walked into the home, I absolutely fell in love with the features, especially the view of the Pacific Ocean. We knew it was “the one” and decided to write an offer on it immediately.
As a real estate developer myself, I believe every property has a history that we may or may not know about, and every home carries the energy that the current owner brings to it. I am Hindu, and it’s customary to do a blessing and prayer anytime you buy a new home. We were so lucky to have our Panditji from Arizona come to the house to do the blessing."

She further clarified that the deal was not made because the house previously belonged to Perry, but because she liked it as a buyer. "We chose to honor the positive aspects of the previous owner’s life, his immense talent, and all the joy he brought to so many people. The decision to purchase the home had nothing to do with the previous owner, just our love of the home.," Anita added.
Who is Anita Verma-Lallian?
Anita Verma-Lallian is the founder of film production company Camelback Productions. It works for increasing South Asian representation in films. Apart from that, Anita is also a commercial real estate consultant in Arizona. Her company, Arizona Land Consulting has a major market standing.
Anita is an MBA from the University of Southern California. She previously worked for her family business, Vermaland which is a land development and banking company in Arizona. It is run by her parents- Kuldip and Binu, and her sister, Jennifer.
