In a latest video involving Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, which has been doing the rounds on the social space has caught the eyes of fans and the puzzled tennis faithful are scratching their heads in what seems to be some sort of weird sorcery.
Djokovic and Alcaraz took part in the Stars of the Open event, marking the start of the 2024 season's last Grand Slam. After the event, the US Open’s official social media account posted an unusual video on X. In the clip, Djokovic abruptly vanishes from the scene, leaving the camera to focus solely on Alcaraz.
The 'Stars of the Open' event featured past US Open champions facing off against fan favorites at Flushing Meadows. Alcaraz and Djokovic were each paired with tennis icons for the doubles matches. Djokovic teamed up with American legend John McEnroe, while Alcaraz joined forces with the great Andre Agassi. All four players were mic’d up, allowing fans to listen in on the exchanges between the teams. Djokovic and McEnroe clinched victory with a 10-8 score-line. Now, the Serbian is likely hoping for a similar triumph over the Spaniard in the US Open next week.
Looking ahead to their 2024 US Open journey, Novak Djokovic will face off against Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot in the First Round. Their match is scheduled for Tuesday, August 27, at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz is set to compete against Australia’s Li Tu at the same location the following day.
