Donald Trump this week has announced several nominations for key posts in his upcoming cabinet. Despite the President-elect making the announcements on Truth Social, his social media platform, the appointments are subject to approval from the Senate. However, Trump has plans to use the recess appointment to skip the approval from the Senate for the appointments.
Thus far, the former president has appointed Florida House Representative Matt Gaetz as his Attorney General, former Democrat turned Trump allies Tulse Gabbard and Robert F Kennedy Jr as Director of National Intelligence and secretary of the Health and Human Services, respectively.
Meanwhile, Pete Hegseth, a former Fox News host has been appointed as the Defense Secretary and Lee Zeldin has been given the Environmental Protection Agency.
