Apple unveiled the latest versions of the iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch at its Cupertino, California, headquarters on Monday. The iPhone 16 price in India starts at Rs 79,900 for the 128GB version, while the iPhone 16 Plus is priced at Rs 89,900. The high-end iPhone 16 Pro begins at Rs 1,19,900 for 128GB, going up to Rs 1,69,900 for the 1TB variant. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will cost Rs 1,44,900 for 256GB and Rs 1,84,900 for the 1TB version.
Upon release, many Indians rushed to convert the iPhone 16 prices from dollars to rupees, sparking reactions on social media.
"Super expensive," one person exclaimed on X.

The pre-order for the Apple iPhone 16 series begins on September 13 at 5:30 PM in India, with the first sale scheduled for September 20.
