watch: ramandeep singh takes 'greatest catch' to dismiss pakistan opener in emerging asia cup

Ramandeep Singh once again showed why he is considered one of the best fielders with his one-handed stunner in the league stage match of the Emerging Asia Cup between India A and Pakistan A. The acrobatic fielder came down running towards the mid-wicket boundary and timed his dive to perfection.

Ramandeep completed the catch just inches above the ground to send back Pakistan opener Yasir Khan for 33 off 22 balls. Ramandeep had shown his brilliant fielding efforts in IPL 2024 and he continued his heroics in the Emerging Asia Cup.

India A win by 7 runs

India A kicked off their campaign with a win and defeated Pakistan A by 7 runs. The defending champions lost regular wickets, which meant that none of the batters could spend ample time and finish the game. Arafat Minhas top-scored for Pakistan A with a knock of 41 off 29 balls.

As for India A, they looked set to breach the 200-run mark at one stage but lost crucial wickets towards the end. Abhishek Sharma (35) and Prabhsimran Singh (36) added 68 runs for the first wicket in only 6.1 overs. Tilak Varma played a vital 44-run knock off just 25 balls while Nehal Wadhera scored 25 off 22.

Anshul Kamboj delivered a Player of the Match performance with the ball and took a three-fer. Nishant Sindhu and Rasikh Dar Salam scalped two wickets each in India's win. India A will take on UAE in their next game on Monday (October 21).
