Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini graced the 39th Chakradhar Samaroh in Chhattisgarh's Raipur. Mathura MP Hema Malini is well-versed with the traditional dance form Bharatnaytam and still performs on stage. Her skills were once again on display at the Chakradhar Samaroh where she performed a dance drama.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai was also present at the event. Chakradhar Samaroh, a music festival, has been a long-standing tradition of Raigarh and is celebrated to honour the legacy of Maharaja Chakradhar. Maharaja Chakradhar Singh, former ruler of Raigarh, was known as a patron of art and music.

The 10-day music festival was inaugurated by CM Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday, September 7. "Maharaja Chakradhar gave a new identity to Indian classical music," he said on this occasion while assuring that his government will extend all possible help to preserve the local art culture as well as traditional heritage.
Earlier, Hema Malini performed at a special Janmashtami event in Mathura. She played the role of Yashoda, the mother of Lord Krishna.

Hema Malini, actor turned politician and a Padma Shri awardee, is celebrated for her contributions to Bollywood through iconic films such as ‘Dream Girl’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Sapno Ka Saudagar’, ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’, and ‘Satte Pe Satta’.
