Visfot Movie Review: Plot
Visfot, said to be the remake of Venezuelan film, Rock, Paper, Scissors, follows the story of Akash Shelar (Riteish Deshmukh) and his wife Tara (Priya Bapat). Their son, Paddy (Prithviraj Sarnaik) is ‘kidnapped’ by a taxi driver named Shoeb Khan (Fardeen Khan). Akash finds Tara cheating on him. A pilot by profession, he leaves Paddy in Lucky’s (Krystle D’Souza) custody at a café which leads to the child’s disappearance.
While Shoeb and Lucky have no intentions to cause harm to Paddy, circumstances force the former to extort 2 crores from Akash. Visfot explores the clash between the father and the taxi driver.

Visfot Movie Review: What Works
Visfot has promising performances by credible names like Riteish Deshmukh, Priya Bapat and Sheeba Chadha. The parallel narratives offer a reality check of the harsh realities of the world we live in. The estranged relationship between Akash and Tara is portrayed beautifully by Riteish and Priya. The tension in their marriage can be felt.
Visfot Movie Review: What Doesn’t Work
Director Kookie Gulati is stuck in the late 90s and early 2000s. Visfot’s story and storytelling format is outdated. The dialogues, structuring of the narrative and character sketches feel boring and dragged. Weaving crime thrillers around drugs is common, sadly, Visfot offers nothing new.
