Virat Kohli might not be the captain of the Indian team anymore, but in the words of Jasprit Bumrah, he remains the leader of the side. Proof of the same was seen on Monday (September 30) during the fourth Test day of play in the second Test between India and Bangladesh as the former Indian skipper's advice to Ravichandran Ashwin worked wonders.
It took no time for Ravichandran Ashwin to find himself among the wickets as he dismissed both Zakir Hasan and Hasan Mahmud before stumps to put India in a commanding position going into the final day to produce an unlikely victory in the rain-hit match.
In visuals captured by the official broadcasters, Kohli went towards Ashwin and could be seemingly spotted advising the star Indian spinner to take the ball away from Zakir. The plan produced dividends as the 102-Test match veteran trapped the Bangladesh opener in front of the stumps.

Talking about the match after India won the toss and chose to bowl first, only 35 overs of action were possible on the first three days due to rain and a wet outfield. With a race against time, the Indian bowling unit was on top of its game on the fourth day and bowled out Bangladesh for just 233.
Later, the Indian batting unit launched an onslaught from the first over and produced a record-breaking effort with the bat. The home team posted a total of 285 in just 34.4 overs and took an important 52-run lead. Going into the fifth day, Bangladesh have lost two wickets and still trail by 26 runs.
Kohli was in top form with the bat as he made a 35-ball 47 while Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul made half-centuries. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill also played important cameos.
