Now, the makers of the show have announced that Vijay Sethupathi will host the new season of Bigg Boss.

On Wednesday, the makers of Bigg Boss Tamil announced that actor Vijay Sethupathi will be hosting Season 8 with the promo video. The makers tweeted, “Vandhaachu Pudhu Bigg Boss,” which translates to the arrival of the new Bigg Boss.

This is not the first time the audience will be witnessing Vijay Sethupathi on the small screen. Previously, he was a part of MasterChef Tamil. His previous hosting stint also includes the reality show Namma Ooru Hero
Kamal Haasan opts out of Bigg Boss Tamil
According to sources, the actor opted out of the show since he is working on Thug Life, and the sequel to Nag Aswin’s Kalki 2898 AD, and a film directed by Anbariv.
A note from the actor reads, "I have been privileged to reach you in your homes. You have showered me with your love and affection, for which you have my everlasting gratitude."

In the note, the actor also thanked his Bigg Boss Tamil team at Vijay TV and wished them well for the upcoming season.
