The veteran actress's final rites are scheduled to take place today (August 28) at the Vaikunth crematorium. Reportedly, Suhasini started her career at the age of 12 and was known for her versatile performances in Marathi films. The actress appeared in more than 100 films in the last 70 years, including Maanachan Kunku (1981), Katha (1983), Ranragini (2004), Ami Dhoge Raja Rani (1986), Dalimbi (1982) and Katha (1983).

In addition to her contributions to regional cinema, Suhasini also made her mark in Bollywood. Her final appearance on the big screen was in Rohit Shetty's 2011 blockbuster Singham. In this film, she played the role of the grandmother of Kajal Aggarwal’s character, Kavya.
In 2015, she was also honoured with the Jayant Rao Tilak Smriti Jeevangaurav Award by the Pune Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad, which celebrated her lifetime achievements in drama and cinema.
