The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) said on Friday that it has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against IAS probationer Puja Khedkar for allegedly “faking her identity to fraudulently avail attempts beyond the permissible limit.”

The Commission also issued her a show cause notice for the cancellation of her selection and debarment from future examinations.

“The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has conducted a detailed and thorough investigation into the misdemeanour of Ms. Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar, a provisionally recommended candidate of the Civil Services Examination-2022,” the UPSC said in a press release.

“From this investigation, it has been revealed that she fraudulently availed attempts beyond the permissible limit under the Examination Rules by faking her identity by changing her name, her father’s and mother’s names, her photograph/signature, her email ID, mobile number, and address.”

Earlier this week, the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) put Khedkar’s district training program in Maharashtra on hold and called her back to the academy in Mussoorie.

Khedkar, a probationary IAS officer who secured an All India rank of 821 in the UPSC exams, has been accused of misusing her authority. She also faces allegations of misusing the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Persons With Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) quotas to clear the examination.
