Honda will bring its Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, and TVS iQube competitor to India this month. Before the official unveiling, the two-wheeler manufacturer has been dropping cryptic teasers of its new electric scooter. The first one was released earlier this week, giving us a glimpse of the EV's LED headlight. And now, the brand has released another teaser, showing more real estate.

The teaser shows the apron of Honda's new electric scooter and a side view of the headlight. Unlike the Activa, which uses a handlebar-mounted headlight, the Honda EV will have its headlamp in the centre of the apron. The teaser also shows the scooter's bench seat. It appears big and likely has an ergonomic design. You can also catch a glimpse of the electric motor. Its power and torque output remain undisclosed.
Honda's first electric scooter for India will perform equivalent to a 110cc petrol-powered two-wheeler. We expect it to offer over 100 km of range on a single charge. The CUV e, which Honda unveiled at EICMA 2024, is likely to inspire the styling. Features will include LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a USB charging port. It will likely cost upwards of Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom).

Honda will be the last among its competitors to introduce an electric two-wheeler in India. Bajaj, Ather, TVS, and Hero all have their respective entry-level e-scooters in India. It would be interesting to see how well e-scooter buyers respond to Honda's offering, especially since the petrol-powered Activa has been a huge success for the brand in India.
