Ultraviolette launched its first electric sports motor in 2022. Now a year and a half later, the Bengaluru-based startup has launched the Mach 2 version of the F77 in the Indian market. The new F77 Mach 2 has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom), this goes up to Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the more expensive F77 Mach 2 Recon variant. It is to be noted that the introductory price will be valid for only the first 1000 customers. This new motorcycle shares its underpinnings with the F77. However, there are certain changes in terms of appearance and features.
In terms of looks, the electric bike at first glance looks very similar to the previous versions of the motorcycle. To enhance the look, it gets aerodynamic panels, and new paint schemes including Supersonic Silver, Stellar White, Lighting Blue, Turbo Red, Afterburner Yellow, Stealth Grey, and Cosmic Grey. Furthermore, now the bike gets an aluminum charging flat replacing the plastic unit used in the previous bike.
While the bike gets significant upgrades in terms of features that are included in the 'Performance Pack'. To mention a few the bike now gets front-only ABS mode which deactivates the rear ABS. The EV now gets traction control for three riding modes- Rain, City, and Track. Other features are find my F77, hill hold assist, TPMS, charging limit, and new themes integrated into a display for navigation.
Getting into the specs, the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 uses a 7.1 kWh battery pack which powers a 26 kW electric motor and offers an IDC claimed range of 211 km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the F77 Mach 2 Recon uses a 10.2 kWh battery pack which powers a 30 kW electric motor and offers an IDC claimed range of up to 323 km. Designed for performance, the bikes can reach a top speed of 155 kmph.
