Donald Trump, the GOP presidential candidate for the November elections, visited a historic Jewish site Monday to mark the one year of the attack on Israel by the militant group, Hamas, on October 7, 2023. The 78-year-old was at the gravesite of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson where he was seen offering prayers wearing a traditional Jewish skullcap, called kippah.

Here's the video of the former president:

After the event in New York, Donald Trump was planning to speak to the Jewish community leaders at one of his resorts in Florida, in the suburb of Doral, in Miami. The former president did not speak to the media during his travel to Florida.

The site Trump visited, the grave of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson in New York, is iconic for American Jews. Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson is known for leading the Chabad-Lubavitch movement of Orthodox Judaism from 1951 until his death in 1994.

He is regarded by some as a messianic figure, though the Chabad movement has disavowed any teachings suggesting he was the messiah. His image remains ubiquitous around the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, which is home to Chabad-Lubavitch’s world headquarters.
