Former President Donald Trump is set to address a rally at the Fair Grounds in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening, the same location where an assassination attempt against him took place on July 13. An estimated crowd of 60,000 people is expected to attend. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has also confirmed that he will speak at the event. The family of Corey Comperatore, the firefighter who died in the July 13 shooting, will be present, with a seat reserved for Comperatore in the stands. David Dutch, who was injured in the shooting, will also attend.
Videos and photos from the venue show thousands of attendees standing in long queues. A statue of Trump, made entirely out of nails, has been placed at the site. Additionally, Micki Larson Olsen, a January 6th prisoner who stormed the Capitol dressed as Captain America, is among those attending the rally.

Donald Trump Made Horrible Joke About Dead Rally Attendee: Report
"I’m going back to Butler because I feel I have an obligation to go back to Butler. We never finished what we were supposed to do. And I said that day when I was shot, I said, 'We’re coming back. We’re gonna come back,'" Trump told NewsNation. "We’re going back. That’s a big deal. We have a lot of people coming. I think I’ll start the speech by saying, 'As I was saying.'"
Security at Saturday's event is notably tight. Reports suggest snipers have been positioned on rooftops, counter-drones are patrolling the skies, and several roads and public areas have been cordoned off.
When asked about Trump's plans for the speech, campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told NPR, "President Trump looks forward to returning to Butler, Pennsylvania to honor the victims from that tragic day. The willingness of Pennsylvanians to join President Trump in his return to Butler represents the strength and resiliency of the American people."
