We had reported earlier when the shooting of Omar Lulu's upcoming film Bad Boyz, headlined by actors Rahman and Dhyan Sreenivasan, was wrapped up recently, and when its teaser and first look were released. On September 4, Wednesday, the makers of the film released the first full-length trailer of the film.
Previous Announcements From The Team
On wrapping up the shoot of the film, the film's presenter and actor Sheelu Abraham took to her social media to make the announcement while sharing a group picture of the cast and crew of the film. In the post, she mentioned that the film was the "hard work of more than 200 people in 50 days", and urged for everyone's support and prayers.
On May 18, Omar Lulu had released the poster on his social media announcing the title for the film as Bad Boyz. With story and direction by Omar, the film also stars Saiju Kurup, Babu Antony, Bibin George, Anson Paul, Senthil Krishna, Bala, Aju Varghese, Tiny Tom, Harisree Ashokan, Ramesh Pisharody, Dracula Sudheer, Sohan Seenulal, Motta Rajendran, Sajin Cherukayil, Sheelu Abraham, Aradhya Ann and Mallika Sukumaran. Along with the title, the director has also hinted that the film will have "some surprise appearances", and promises “an Omar Fun”, taking from the director’s practice of ascribing each of his own films to their own peculiar genre.
The teaser of the film was released recently. The teaser introduces actor Rahman in a refreshingly new avatar. The veteran actor, often typecast in serious, brooding roles, is seen having fun for a change as the character Antappan. He and his crew, played by Bibin George, Senthil Krishna and Anson Paul, seem to be troublemakers enjoying a carefree life. Bala, Tini Tom, Sheelu Abraham, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Babu Antony and a few others also make fleeting appearances in the teaser.
The Director’s Usual Collaborations Are Back
The screenplay and dialogues for Bad Boyz have been written by Sarang Jayaprakash, who previously co-wrote Oru Adaar Love (2019) and Dhamaka (2020) with Omar. The upcoming film has music by William Francis and cinematography by Alby. Abraham Mathew has produced the film under the banner of Abaam Movies.
