New Delhi: Traffic will be affected on a stretch in southwest Delhi due to repair work on Old Kakrola Road. According to a Delhi Police advisory issued on Saturday, the road will remain closed from October 6 to October 20. The maintenance work will impact movement on the Tura Mandi Chowk-Shyam Vihar Chowk-Najafgarh Drain stretch.
The advisory mentioned that traffic restrictions will be imposed based on the section or full stretch of the road undergoing repair, as reported by PTI.
It advised commuters traveling from Najafgarh Tura Mandi Chowk to Dwarka to use the main Najafgarh-Uttam Nagar Road until Dwarka More or the Najafgarh-Kapashera Road to reach their destination. Additionally, passengers traveling from Dwarka towards Tura Mandi Chowk, Najafgarh, should take Old Palam Road to reach the main Uttam Nagar-Najafgarh Road.
The advisory also mentioned that diversions will be made from Shyam Vihar Chowk as necessary.
The police urged commuters to avoid the stretch under repair and advised against roadside parking on the Tura Mandi Chowk-Shyam Vihar Chowk-Najafgarh Drain Bridge stretch on Old Kakrola Road, as reported by PTI.

In another news, the Delhi Metro will briefly regulate services on the Yellow Line (Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram) on the morning of 6th October, 2024 (Sunday) due to planned maintenance work at Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station. The disruption will affect services until 6:40 AM, with adjustments in train schedules and station closures.
On Sunday morning, the first trains will depart later than usual. The first train from Vishwavidyalaya to Millennium City Centre Gurugram will leave at 6:45 AM, instead of the usual 6:00 AM. Similarly, the first train from Kashmere Gate to Samaypur Badli will begin its journey at 6:52 AM, instead of 6:00 AM, according to the official X handle of DMRC.
