Jaguar has unveiled the Type 00 Concept, which previews the British carmaker's future lineup of all-electric models. Here are five quirky highlights of the Jaguar Type 00 concept.
Jaguar Type 'Zero-Zero'
It's not pronounced as double O; it is called the Jaguar Type "Zero-Zero." Jaguar's all-new concept previews the British carmaker's future as an all-electric brand. Though its design might be futuristic, its name is an ode to historic models from the brand.
No Rear Glass
The Jaguar Type 00 is a sleek fastback, but that is not the most interesting feature of its exterior design. In addition to the clean lines and crisp shape, you'll also notice that the Type 00 has no rear glass.
Stone On The Inside
The cabin of the Jaguar Type 00 concept has a minimalist look. The dashboard has a button-less design with two large screens and a two-spoke steering wheel with no physical buttons. The seats are made of wool blend and are supported by travertine stone.
770 KM Of Range
Jaguar has kept the details related to Type 00's powertrain under wraps. However, the brand has revealed that the concept offers 770 km of driving range according to the WLTP test cycle. The pack takes 15 mins to gain 321 km through DC fast charging.
Type 00 Based Electric GT
Though the Type 00 is a fastback, the first Jaguar EV based on it will be a four-door GT. To be manufactured in the UK, this new electric four-door Jaguar GT will make its first public appearance in late 2025.
