‘too much food!’: american man praises indian hospitality after unannounced visit | video

An American man living in India has praised the hospitality shown by Indians towards their guests. John, who shares his experiences on Instagram under "John in India," expressed amazement at how Indian families can provide an abundance of food to guests, even without prior notice. "I could arrive at an Indian's house at 4 pm without telling them, and they'd still feed me a lot of food," he said, adding that if he did the same in America, he’d consider himself lucky to be offered a glass of water. He then humorously noted that the only issue with Indian hospitality is, "They give me way too much food." John explained that, despite trying to politely indicate that he’s getting full, more food keeps coming, and he feels it would be rude to stop eating.

The video was shared a few days ago and has since garnered over a million views and numerous comments.

One user suggested, "CheatCODE: Tell them you're getting full when you're only half full. By the end of the meal, you're actually full. By the way, giving more food equals more love." Another commenter shared, "I live in America, and if you say hello to my mom and tell her you love Indian food, she’ll feed you right away."

A third user, working in the U.K., added, "I work with a lot of Indians, and it’s the same thing. Their hospitality is the best." Another user humorously commented, "So true. My mother keeps extra food just for unexpected guests. If I touch it, she’ll say, 'What will I give the guest if they come uninvited?'"
