The Research Report for the inaugural edition of the Times Now School Ranking, East, 2024, was launched on 10th September 2024. This distinguished survey highlights the top-performing schools across the eastern region of India, covering West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Assam. Our mission is to recognise the leading schools in each state and the top institutions within various zones. The results, derived from an exhaustive and meticulous survey conducted by TENFOLD, a neutral and independent surveyor, are proudly presented by the Times Digital Network.
The research report was unveiled at ITC Royal, Kolkata, in the presence of various dignitaries from the education sector, students, principals, and teachers from more than 50 schools in the region. Mr. Biman Dutta, Assistant Vice President & Regional Head (East), Times Network welcomed the dignitaries with a traditional Uttariyo.
The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony officiated by:

The lamp lighting ceremony was followed by opening speeches delivered by Mr Bhaarat Dave, Prof Sunil Kumar Khade, and Mr Sanjay Gopal Sarkar. Their addresses focused on the theme, “Shaping Future Leaders: The Role of Educators in Fostering Innovation, Critical Thinking, and Emotional Intelligence in the Next Generation.”
These distinguished guests also participated in a panel discussion, shedding light on two key topics: Future-Ready Schools: Preparing Students for a Changing World and The Role of Technology in Enhancing Educational Outcomes
The audience was captivated by performances from 85 students representing various schools, who presented 16 different acts. The event was supported by the British Deputy High Commission, Kolkata, Selvel Advertising Pvt Ltd, Bright Advertising Pvt Ltd, and RG Cellulars.
