Vice Presidential nominees JD Vance of the Republicans and Tim Walz of the Democrats will face each other in a much-anticipated debate scheduled for Tuesday, October 1. It comes after the presidential debate three weeks ago between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. The VP debate would be the final live faceoff between the November elections.
JD Vance, the Republican Senator from Ohio, joined office in 2022 before being nominated by Trump as his running mate. On the other hand, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota, the Democrat VP candidate, was picked by Harris to join her on the ticket after President Joe Biden stepped down.

When Will the Vance-Walz Debate Start?
The debate will start around 9 pm ET and will go on till 10.30 pm ET. It is expected to span the same time frame as the last two presidential debates.

It is taking place at the CBS broadcast centre in New York.
Who Will Host The Debate?
The moderator of the debate would be the managing editor of CBS, Norah O’ Donnell alongside Margaret Brennan, the foreign affairs correspondent.
Rules of the Debate
The first important point to remember is that there isn’t going to be any audience. This rule was also maintained during the last two presidential debates.
* Both parties agreed to a 1-and-a-half-hour debate.
* As the debate commences, moderators will simply introduce the candidates.
* Both candidates will have 120 seconds to frame and respond to questions. This will only happen in the case that they do not have pre-written notes or points.
* Not likely to the presidential debates, the mike will not be muted.
* Both candidates will have the privilege to share their closing words.
