'this is the best team': bangladesh head coach points out huge difference between india and pakistan

India handed a crushing seven wicket defeat to Bangladesh in the second Test in Kanpur. Despite the match getting washed away Rohit Sharma and his men ensured they got an outright result with their aggressive approach.

Hopes were pretty high as Bangladesh were coming on the back of a historic series victory over Bangladesh. But India maintained a steady approach throughout the series and recorded a 2-0 whitewash over their neighbours.

In the second Test, rain played spoilsport as only two and a half days of thye match was possible. Bangladesh were bowled out for a mere 233 but what followed was unprecedented.

The Indian batters came out heavily on the Bangladesh bowlers and the intent was very clear as they scored the fastest 50 in the history of Test cricket. Bangladesh went on to completely surrender in the second Innings and the home side reached the target with seven wickets to spare.

Speaking after the match, Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusingha lauded India’s effort and highlighted the stark difference between India and Pakistan.

As quoted by the Cricbuzz he said, "The defeat is really hurting us in terms of our performance. (India's approach) was really not seen before. All credit to Rohit and the Indian team for coming up with that approach, and making a match of it. We actually didn't react quick enough (to India's approach),"

"Batting was disappointing in this series. Some players did well in the last series. We have not been performing to our potential in the last few series. One reason for the batting was the quality of the opposition. The skill level in display in this series was very high. We are taking a lot of learnings from this. This is the best team. Playing India in India is the toughest assignment. We know how much we need to improve."
