Emma Watson surely put every GenZ feeling about being single into focus with a simple statement: “I call it being ‘self-partnered’.”
People are embracing being alone, or more aptly, choosing to be alone, with millennials and GenZ leading the charge. Solo Travel is booming, so is solo dining. But now, according to CNN, a hotel is catering to this solo movement with a very unique offering. The Walker Hotel Tribeca in New York City launched “Self-Love Pods” aimed at recently single guests. It’s not really a pod; you get standard rooms that come with a few useful self-care amenities.
The perks include stress-reducing drinks, meditation sessions, access to a sauna but most interestingly, there’s an egg-shaped personal massager from sexual wellness brand Maude. The key idea, apparently, is to let solo travellers (mostly women, going by their offerings) – find some time to love themselves. While the idea might seem slightly offbeat, it points to the growing demand for solo wellness experiences, with women acting as one of the biggest drivers of wellness tourism.

No matter how well-intentioned the offer is, the "Self-Love Pod" package starts at $350, not including meals. So being single would certainly pinch your pocket in downtown New York.
