India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has carved a niche for himself at the gully and is one of the most promising fielders in the current squad, took another brilliant catch to yet again see the back of Bangladesh opener Zakir Hasan in the second Test in Kanpur. With an overcast condition, India skipper Rohit Sharma opted to bowl and Akash Deep bagged both wickets in the first session.
Zakir Hasan walked out to the middle beside Shadman Islam and faced the first over by ace India pacer Jasprit Bumrah. He saw off the first over but couldn't get any runs as Bumrah started with a maiden.
Hasan stayed silent during his entire stay and didn't seem in any rush to score runs while Shadman bagged occasional boundaries to keep the scoreboard ticking. Akash was brought into the attack in the ninth over and off the fourth delivery, he induced an edge off Zakir.

At Zakir's dismissal, Bangladesh were at 26/1 in the ninth over. At lunch, they had reached 74/2, with Mominul Haque and skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto at the crease. Shadman had been dismissed LBW by Akash for a steady 24.
As mentioned above, Rohit won the toss and elected to bowl in the second Test. Hosts India, who lead the two-match series 1-0, have fielded an unchanged playing XI, although some might be surprised by the non-inclusion of spinner Kuldeep Yadav on a black soil pitch.
