Giving it 3 stars, our in-house critic wrote, "The Buckingham Murders is a moody, intriguing crime drama that starts strong. But as it tries to dig in deep, into the inner lives of the community it portrays, it becomes rushed and unfinished. Kapoor is the standout of the cast with a restrained and mature performance.”

For the unversed, in The Buckingham Murders, Kareena Kapoor plays the role of Jasmeet Bhamra or Jass. At the trailer launch on September 3 in Mumbai, she shared that her role resonated with her as a mother. She explained, “I think a mother’s love has no language. It’s a feeling. So, I think being a mother I understand that a mother’s love has no specific language. It’s in her eyes – her love, her pain, you can see it in her eyes. That’s important. I think that is what connected me to the character… Somehow this just had so much soul in it that I felt that this was the right time for me to feel this character and to play it.”

The film is available in both Hinglish and Hindi dubbed versions.
