Tell Me Lies Season 2 Review: Plot
The new season starts right where the last one ended. Lucy Albright ( Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) return to college after a dramatic breakup. The show is now focussed on the secrets both know and are ready to spill about each other. Will they stop at nothing? Is everyone pretending to be someone else? Are there any truths at all that are not marred by lies that penetrate into the being of every single character? While it is not as layered and complex as it sounds, Tell Me youLies makes for a good watch, just good enough.
Tell Me Lies Season 2 Review: Direction
The USP of the first season was the pacing of the show and this season seems to be equally good on that front. The writing seems a bit more scandalous, with explicit sex scenes no longer remaining an element but becoming an endorsement for the show. There is nothing new in the show, but you somehow cannot bring yourself to skip the episodes.
Tell Me Lies Season 2 Review: Performances
Grace Van Patten as Lucy Albright and Jackson White as Stephen DeMarco are as good as they were last season, with White showing just how diverse he is. Of course, his character has more scope to explore and he takes full advantage of it. You hate him, but not quite and that is exactly what he sees to be going for. The other cast including Branden Cook as Evan, Alicia Crowder as Diana, Catherine Missal as Bree, and Sonia Mena as Pippa are good in their roles and make for a convincing bunch.

Tell Me Lies Season 2 Review: Final Verdict
Tell Me Lies new season might work because the show knows and understands its audience. It takes a hot season and runs with it. If you like watching shows that have barely there suspense but are entertaining enough to not watch it at 1.5 X speed, Tell Me Lies does not seem like a bad option.
