Former Pakistan fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed is not happy with PCB paying PKR 50 lakh to each of the five mentors of the Champions Cup 2024. Shoaib Malik, Waqar Younis. Misbah-Ul Haq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Saqlain Mushtaq are roped in as mentors for the 50-Over tournament. The tournament will be played from September 12 to 29 and will feature 150 top Pakistan cricketers. Players who will do well in the tournament would make a strong case for a place in the Pakistan national team.

Meanwhile, Tanvir Ahmed also came out in support of Babar Azam, who is going through a lean run across formats. Babar was dismissed for a duck in the first innings of the series opener against Bangladesh and fell for just 22 in the second innings as Pakistan suffered a defeat by 10 wickets. Tanvir slammed Babar's critics and said Babar is Pakistan's 'king' and will stay a king.
