Mumbai: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena on Tuesday released its first list of 45 candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024. Shinde will be contesting from the Kopri-Panchpakhadi assembly seat.
Cabinet minister Uday Sawant is contesting from Ratnagiri. His brother Kiran Sawant received a ticket from the Rajapur seat. Meanwhile, other ministers, including, Dada Bhuse, Gulabrao Patil and Abdul Sattar, also get tickets.
Shankar Sarvankar is contesting from Mahim seat against Amit Thackeray, Maharastra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackersay's son.

Former Union minister Anand Adsul, will contest from Daryapur in Amravati district. Vilas Bhumre, son of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) Lok Sabha MP Sandipan Bhumre, will contest from Paithan
The ruling Mahayuti alliance, comprising Shinde Sena, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP, is yet to officially announce seat sharing. The BJP has declared the first list of 99 candidates so far. Mahayuti's third member Ajit Pawar's NCP is yet to announce its candidates.
The Maharashtra Assembly Elections are scheduled to take place in a single phase on November 20. Votes will be counted on November 23 along with Jharkhand. The Opposition's Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), comprising, the Congress, the Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sharad Pawar's NCP (SP), will be eying to repeat its parliamentary polls performance.
