Shillong Teer result today: Times Now publishes the winning numbers for all archery-based lotteries in Meghalaya, including Shillong Teer (morning and night), Juwai Teer and Khanapara Teer.
Meghalya’s state lotteryshi department was recently in the news for pioneering India’s first digital government-run lottery program. But lotteries such as Shillong far predate this new scheme.
Although as many as 13 states in the country have their own official lottery system, there’s no other like Meghalaya, where the program does away with the traditional lucky draw method altogether.
In Shillong Teer, for example, an archery game is played to determine the result. Each game features two rounds. In both the rounds, archers shoot arrows in an attempt at hitting the target.
The KHASI Hills Archery Sports Institute (KHASI), which has 12 associate clubs, organises the competition at the Shillong Polo Ground.
At the end of each round, the number of arrows that successfully hit the target are taken for the final count. This tally, in turn, becomes the round’s corresponding lucky number.
So, if the number is 72, in order to win a Shillong Teer prize, you have to try and predict that number. It could be anything between 0 and 99.
All Teer games are played six days a week, with no action taking place on Sunday.
The results are announced at the end of each round, after the target hits have been verified. This can take a while. However, since the events are spread out throughout the day, an update or two is always around the corner.

Shillong Teer ticket sales begin at 10 am each day. The prices for these tickets range from Rs. 1 to Rs. 100 but have no bearing on the prizes won.Correctly guessing the first round winning numbers can be win players Rs. 80 while getting their second round predictions right can fetch Rs. 60.If you accurately predict the number of arrows shot in both rounds for a Rs 1 bet, you can win up to Rs. 4000.
