On Saturday, the official Instagram handle of The Academy posted a clip of SRK's iconic entry in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The movie which released in 2001, had an elite starcast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor.

Details on the iconic scene

The video is from the sequence when Shah Rukh's Rahul Raichand returns home in a chopper after studying abroad, and his mother played by Jaya Bachchan feels intuitive about his arrival, even before he enters the house. The moment is hailed as one of the greatest entry scenes in Bollywood.

The Academy often posts memorable sequences from classic movies from across the world. And its latest post from K3G suggests that even its committee believes in the greatness of this scene.

About Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was Karan Johar’s second helm, after his directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998, also starring Shah Rukh and Kajol. Infact it was his movies that made SRK-Kajol one of the leading onscreen pairings of Hindi cinema in late 1990s to early 2000s.

Shah Rukh Khan, who made his big screen debut with Deewana in 1992, appeared in three films in 2023 – Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. He will next be seen in King, being directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
