Pakistan were handed a reality check with the lack of Tests against India described as a 'blessing'. Shan Masood and his team were heavily trolled and criticised on social media after they were whitewashed at home by Bangladesh in a two-Test series and one of their journalist's views were among those, although it was way less harsh than what floated around on social media.
Pakistan were thrashed by 10 wickets in the first Test while the hosts lost the second by six wickets with Rawalpindi hosting both games.
Pakistan bowlers struggled to make a consistent impact in the second Test after dropping Shaheen Shah Afridi and resting fellow pacer Naseem Shah.

An 'X' user, who identified themselves as a Pakistani cricket addict, commented, "With performances like this forget India, no top Test side will want to even waste time playing Tests with these jokers."
It was Pakistan’s sixth loss in their last 10 Tests at home and this was the first time Bangladesh have defeated their neighbours in a Test and series as well.

The second Test saw the Bangladesh batters dominate the second innings after Pakistan dropped ace pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi from the eleven and rested Naseem Shah. Earlier, there have been reports that Afridi is not on good terms with Masood.

Pakistan had Bangladesh reeling at 26/6 in their first innings before centurion Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz produced a brilliant stand to rescue their team.
