Actor Sathyaraj and Vasanth Ravi's film Weapon, which released in cinemas on June 7 is creating waves on OTT.
Directed by Guhan Seniappan, and produced by M. S. Manzoor under Million Studio, Weapon is creating a positive impact online!
Sathyaraj's Weapon Tops OTT Charts
Weapon, which had its premier on Amazon Prime earlier this month has topped the OTT charts for over three weeks.
As per the makers, Weapon was the top-viewed Indian film on Amazon Prime for 24 days. The movie garnered attention from the audience across India.

The film is a superhero sci-fi fantasy drama set in World War 2.
Speaking to DTNXT about the film, Guhan said “Superhuman films have always struck a chord with the audience, especially on OTT platforms. Be it Flash or Daredevil, this genre has attracted a lot of attention. Same goes for Ayalaan and Indru Netru Naalai as well. Also, as a director, our responsibilities nowadays extend beyond theatre. With Weapon, the reception has been quite outstanding with the OTT audience and the onus is on us to strike a balance between theatre-going and OTT audiences. The responsibility is indeed huge,” he stated.

About Weapon
Apart from Sathyaraj and Vasanth Ravi, the film stars Rajiv Menon, Tanya Hope, Syed Subahan And Rajeev Pillai.
The film tells the tale of Agni a YouTuber and environmentalist is searching for a superhuman called Mithran. He plans on working with him for his channel. The rest of his journey is full of twists and turns as he is not the only one searching for him.

The music was composed by Ghibran, while cinematography and editing were handled by Prabhu Raghav and Gopi Krishnan.
In the film Sathyaraj and Vasanth appear in the AI sequences. The team fed photos of them to the software and generated the sequences. They further added the ambience, background and characters.
