Every year, Saphala Ekadashi is observed on the day before the Dwadashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha of the Paush month. On this day, devotees observe the Ekadashi fast in honour of Lord Vishnu, along with prayers to Goddess Lakshmi. Worshiping Lord Vishnu, the protector of the universe, fulfills the devotee's desires and increases happiness and prosperity. Devotees perform the Satyanarayana Puja with devotion on Ekadashi Tithi.
Saphala Ekadashi Auspicious Timing
According to the Panchang (Hindu calendar), the Ekadashi Tithi of Paush month’s Shukla Paksha will begin on December 25 at 10:29 PM and end on December 27 at 12:43 AM. In Sanatan Dharma, the Udaya Tithi (sunrise) is considered important. Therefore, Saphala Ekadashi will be observed on December 25. Devotees can observe the fast on December 26, and perform Vishnu Puja on the same day as per their convenience.
Saphala Ekadashi Parana Time
Devotees will observe the fast on December 26. The Parana (breaking of the fast) for Saphala Ekadashi will be between 7:12 AM and 9:16 AM on December 27. Devotees can break the fast anytime between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM according to their convenience. After completing the rituals, they can perform an Annadan (food donation) and open their fast.
Sukarma Yoga
Astrologers mention that Sukarma Yoga will form on the Ekadashi Tithi of Paush month’s Krishna Paksha. This Yoga will end at 10:24 PM. Sukarma Yoga is considered auspicious for performing good deeds. Worshiping Lord Vishnu during this time will fulfill the devotee’s desires and increase wealth and prosperity.
Shivvas Yoga
A rare Shivvas Yoga will also form on Saphala Ekadashi. On this auspicious occasion, Lord Shiva will remain on Mount Kailash until 12:43 AM. Goddess Parvati will also be with him during this time. Worshiping Lord Shiva during his stay on Kailash will bring an increase in happiness and well-being.
