Royal Enfield is preparing to unveil its first electric bike. The brand made the announcement via a teaser revealing the silhouette of the upcoming EV. Probably, hoping to keep the design a secret, the brand has failed to hide the bike from the from the spies, as in the latest pictures of the bike without camouflage have surfaced on the internet. This is an indication that the launch of the bike might not be as far as we thought it would be.
The pictures give us a look at what seems to be a production ready prototype of the electric motorcycle spotted on the roads of Barcelona, as per MCN. Sticking to its roots, the first motorcycle with electric powertrain from Royal Enfield will have the design of a retro bike instead of an adventure oriented machine. It is to be noted that the brand earlier revealed the prototype of an electric bike which had a design similar to the Himalayan.

The machine in the picture sports a round LED headlamp with the brand's logo placed in the center. This appearance is complemented by a sleek body which depicts a rather small stature. This might probably be an added to maintain the proportions of the bike while keeping its weight down extract the desired range and control other stats.
Furthermore, the bike appears to have a low seat height which seems to have a rather relaxed riding position with the handlebars raised high and foot pegs placed towards the front end. The retro styling of the machine is further highlighted by the presence of girder forks and chunky side mirrors.
In terms of tech, Royal Enfield seems to have added a round dash, something similar to what we have seen on other models of the brand. Along with showing the essential details, this might open doors to a host of features like connectivity options, turn-by-turn navigation, and more.
Presently, there is no available information about the powertrain of the bike. However, we can expect it to have stats which are similar to the Hunter 350 and Classic 350 to help it fulfill its role as a commuter bike.
