Rohit Sharma played a short and sweet innings of 23 runs from 11 balls in their first innings of the India vs Bangladesh second Test. During this whirlwind knock, Rohit hit 1 four and three huge sixes. Rohit now has 41 sixes across all formats in 2023.

He thus becomes the first captain ever to hit more than 40 international sixes thrice. He achieved this feat twice before, when he slammed 45 sixes in 2022 and 80 sixes in 2023.

India Vs Bangladesh 2nd Test: As It Happened

The 2nd Test between India and Bangladesh has been heavily affected by rain. Only 35 overs were bowled on Day 1, before day 2 and 3 were washed out due to the rain without a single ball being bowled.

Bangladesh were bundled out for 233 runs in the first innings, with Mominul Haque scoring a century, and Jasprit Bumrah taking four wickets. In reply, India have gone all guns blazing, racing to 289/9, courtesy half-centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul. They then declared the innings. In the process, they have become the fastest team to score 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 runs respectively.

On the other hand, Bangladesh finished on 26/2 in the fourth innings, with R Ashwin claiming both wickets.
