After multiple eyewitnesses reported a shooting at Galleria Mall in Henderson, Nevada on Saturday afternoon, Henderson Police clarified that there was no active shooter in the area. Several visitors reported that the mall was evacuated amid a large police presence in the area.
In the comments section of a post made on the Facebook group Las Vegas Breaking News & Traffic Incidents, eyewitnesses reported seeing a large police presence at the mall. Some people who were inside the mall reported an announcement about an active shooter inside the mall.
However, FOX5 Las Vegas reported that despite the police presence, there was no active shooter at the mall.
Local police scanners indicated that one person was likely injured and was being transported to a hospital.
However, an official word on the details of the shooting is yet to arrive.
