remembering ibrar khan: the steady hand behind et now's key broadcasts

New Delhi: Ibrar Khan, a key member of the ET NOW PCR team, passed away leaving behind a sense of profound loss. Ibrar Khan was a part of ET Now’s PCR team and managed sound. For over a decade, he was the steady hand behind ET Now’s most critical broadcasts. His work was often unnoticed but vital to the success of every shoot, every event.

"It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear colleague, Ibrar Khan. As a key member of the ET NOW PCR team, Ibrar's expertise in audio was integral to our broadcasts. His dedication, professionalism, and kind nature made him a cherished part of our team and a supportive friend to many," the company said in a statement.

Ibrar hailed from Odisha and was always cheerful, always cooperative, and never one to complain, no matter how stressful the situation. His calmness under pressure, his understanding of his colleagues' needs, and his willingness to help made him a cornerstone of our team.

His colleagues say he had this rare gift of making everyone around him feel comfortable, and his positive outlook was summed up in his favorite saying: "Speak positive, you never know when you will be heard by God when his door is open."

Ibrar was the man behind the sound at some of ET Now's biggest events, including the interviews that required flawless execution. At ET Now’s Leadership Conclave at Taj Lands End, when the RBI Governor spoke, it was Ibrar who ensured every word was heard loud and clear. His technical skills were top-notch, but it was his dedication and reliability that truly stood out.

ET Now's team, remembering him, said, "Ibrar was more than a colleague to us—he was a friend, a confidant, a quiet force who made everything better simply by being there. His passing has left a void that cannot be filled…As we remember Ibrar, we are left with a sense of profound loss, not just of a colleague but of the sound that filled our days—the laughter, the positivity, the quiet efficiency. He has left us soundless, but his presence will forever echo in our hearts."

He is survived by his wife and 12-year-old daughter, for whom he was a devoted husband and father.
