New Delhi: Popular YouTuber and influencer Ranveer Allahbadia has fallen victim to a cyber attack that resulted in both his channels, including Beer Biceps, being hacked and renamed “Tesla”. All the videos available on both the channels were deleted. This incident comes days after the hacking of India’s Supreme Court YouTube channel.
All interviews and podcasts from both channels have been deleted and replaced with older streams from Elon Musk and Donald Trump's events.
The viewers were welcomed by a deceptive livestream featuring an AI-generated Elon Musk avatar, urging viewers to invest in cryptocurrency for a false promise of doubling their returns. The avatar directed viewers to scan a QR code and deposit Bitcoin or Ethereum on a suspicious website, elonweb.net.
Ranveer's Beer Biceps channel was renamed "@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024," while his personal channel was changed to "@Tesla.event.trump_2024."
Ranveer Allahbadia manages around seven YouTube channels, amassing a combined following of approximately 12 million subscribers.
There has been no official statement yet from Ranveer Allahbadia's side yet. Both channels have now been deleted by the hackers.
