Pune: A bike rider in Pune’s Pimpri-Chinchwad area was dragged on the bonnet of an Audi car for 2 km after an argument with the car driver. Following the incident, the car driver and his two friends were arrested. The incident occurred on Sunday (December 1). According to Police Inspector Ashok Shirke, the blood sample of the accused has been taken to determine whether he was under the influence of alcohol.

He said, ''A case has been registered under section 109 of the BNS. Three accused have been arrested. The car has been seized. The victim and the accused got into an argument on the road after which the accused dragged him on his car for about 2km. Strict action will be taken against the accused,'' as quoted by news agency ANI.

In separate news, a man in the city was abused, attacked and even threatened with a billhook and all this because he honked as the accused's two-wheelers stopped his way. The incident took place on Wednesday night near Dandekar Bridge in the Parvati area. The 25-year-old victim, who owns a furniture showroom in Bhavani Peth, was coming back from there when at the bridge, three scooters, with eight people on them, almost blocked his way.

According to his complaint, Sub-inspector ID Shaikh said, "When he (the victim) reached Dandekar Bridge chowk, three scooters in front of him almost blocked the road. Eight youngsters were travelling on them. The scooters' drivers initially gave the victim the way after he honked."
