Pune: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has started counting votes for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections held on November 20. The 288-seat assembly saw intense contests, including family rivalries. These elections were the first since the split of Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
With high stakes, both the Maha Vikas Aghadi (NCP-SP, Congress, Shiv Sena-Uddhav) and Mahayuti (BJP, NCP, Shiv Sena) are striving for a decisive victory. From CM Eknath Shinde to Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, along with Shiv Sena's Uddhav Thackeray, his son Aaditya Thackeray, Congress leader Milind Deora, and Nana Patole, all will be watching to see if they secure a seat in the assembly.
