pune airport's milestone moment! 100 arrival, 100 departure flights in a single day

Pune: The city Airport reached a significant milestone on Sunday by recording 200 flight movements in one day, comprising 100 arrivals and 100 departures. This achievement is noteworthy, as the airport typically manages around 185 to 190 flights daily. An airport spokesperson attributed this increase to the introduction of new routes, including flights to Goa, Sindhudurg, and Jalgaon. However, they further mentioned that this level of activity may not be sustained every day.

With the winter schedule set to commence on 27 October, officials are optimistic about further growth. The newly constructed terminal is spacious and prepared to accommodate more flights, particularly with the potential for new international connections. Efforts to expand routes are ongoing, supported by Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol.

This milestone marks an exciting development for Pune Airport and its users.
