Pooja Entertainment's Vashu Bhagnani has filed a complaint against OTT giant Netflix; he has alleged that he was cheated out of the rights of his three filmsHero No 1, Mission Raniganj, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Vashu Bhagnani files complaint against Netflix
The Bollywood producer has stated that he hasn’t received Rs 47.37 crore towards SVOD (subscription-video-on-demand) rights from Netflix for his films Hero No 1, Mission Raniganj, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. According to Economic Times, Vashu Bhagnani stated that Netflix ‘cheated and conspired against the rights’ of those three films.
In his complaint, Bhagnani has also named Los Gatos Production Services, Zoo Digital India and other executives; he shared that Pooja Entertainment was forced to renegotiate the terms of the film deal. He had to deliver one of his films to Zoo Digital India and later his company faced a substantial financial loss after one of his films was leaked ahead of its theatrical release. Reports suggest that the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has questioned executives from Los Gatos Production Services India on this matter.

Netflix responds to Bhagnani
Netflix responded the allegations and said in a statement, “These claims are completely unfounded. Indeed, it’s Pooja Entertainment that owes Netflix money. We have a strong track record of partnership with the Indian creative community and are working with the authorities to resolve this dispute.”
Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment is in another legal batter with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan director Ali Abbas Zafar. The production house has filed a complaint at the Bandra Police station in Mumbai against Zafar for allegedly siphoning the subsidy funds. Meanwhile, Zafar has stated that Pooja Entertainment hasn’t paid him his fee of Rs 7.30 crore for directing Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer did not do well at the box office after its release in April.
