prabhas’s movie fauji has two leading ladies? here’s what we know about the hanu raghavapudi period drama

Prabhas is presently prepping up for his part in the upcoming film Fauji (tentatively titled) directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The film has Imanvi as the leading lady who also attended the film’s launch last month in Hyderabad. According to reports, the film also has another lead actress who would share screen with Prabhas.

Another Lead Actress?

Apart from Imanvi, the film also has another lead actress who would share screen with Prabhas. Apparently, the filmmakers have also finalized the actress, but her name has been kept under wraps. Director Hanu Raghavapudi doesn’t want to reveal her at this point; they have a certain plan to announce her name officially. “It’s too early to reveal the name of another actress in Fauji; the makers have finalised her but they have a certain plan to make a formal announcement,” says a source close to the unit.

Fauji Is Set In 1940’s

The poster of the historical fiction drama set in 1940’s was released during the launch with a caption, “When wars were a battle for supremacy, ONE WARRIOR redefined what they were FOUGHT for." Since the role is completely different from his earlier films, Prabhas has to undergo transformation. The filmmakers are planning to commence shooting either in September last week or early October.

According to the filmmakers, not every historical event resonates with our emotions and thoughts. But this story is written by a warrior to bring justice to people of his mother land. “This historical fiction/ alternate history set in the 1940’s is the tale of a warrior who rose from the shadows, emerging from a society that believed war was the only answer to the buried injustices and forgotten truths that history kept hidden from the world.”
